For this assignment I attended Carnegie Hall s production of Stravinsky s philharmonic orchestra of lecture . The following will discuss each of these pieces distributively and concord my personal opinion most being an expeditious attender in the audiencehttp /www .nehrlich .com /chorus /stravinsky .htmlStravinskyThe symphony begins with an fast overture . Before the piece of euphony began I though I would be a everyday tender , ostensibly enjoying being at a cultural event . The nervous strain in which Stravinsky captures the audience with the harmony discrepancy and then the lethal consonance with the string instruments and the pinch was breathtaking . After the starting motor second , I was no longer a casual attendee , but active , non referential because the music did non prompt me of anything perso nal in my life , and non critical because I was in too much astonishment to think about the tonality and pitch and whether or not the instruments were in blood line , but definitely an active listener oddly with the pains of the piano and the chorus harmony with the orchestraWith the debut of the second exercise s fighting(a)s and the pianissimo of the orchestra and the melody of the flutes , the pitches and the flip-flop between the consonance and dissonance was subtle Stravinsky s genius of contour line was made sheer to me in the second movement , especially in adduce to the melody , the light airy find out that was muted somehow haunting coupled with the harmony and the fugue that takes redact between the different orchestral instruments (the strings and the flute and their synchronal combination which gave a definite melodic labyrinthine understanding to the second movementThe third movements choral focus and the regular ginmill of the music with the voic es was chilling .
The tones of voices matched with consonance with the orchestra , and this stability along with the slow was what caught my interest as a listener . Although Stravinsky wrote this piece not to be a symphony with psalms but the psalm being symphonized , the chorus would not have been as combat-ready . Also , as a listener , it was not the sing that necessarily drew me into the music I had no intension of events to associate with the symphony , and therefore I would consider myself an absolutistic to some degree because the music stands solid on its give without the background association it has to the psalm . Although historically , t he Symphony of the Psalms had personal relevance to Stravinsky who finished the piece on July 17 1930 , and he confessed to having written in relation to man s bail with God and the ultimate truth , for me as a listener , I was caught up in the musical interpretation of what seemed to be beauty pain , as well as a haunting quality to the music that has to do with the tempo , and the colloquy between the orchestral instruments...If you want to get a tolerant of the mark essay, order it on our website: OrderCustomPaper.com
